Efforts are underway to help a Rock County family who lost their home in a fire on Christmas Eve.

Jason and Jennie Aanenson and their six children were away from home when they were notified their home near Luverne was on fire.

No one was injured.

Aanenson serves as a Minnehaha County Sheriff's deputy.

Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead says efforts are underway in the law enforcement community to assist the Aanensons. A relief fund for the Aanenson family has also been set up at Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union, 901 N. West Ave., Sioux Falls.

The Hardwick, Luverne, Kenneth and Edgerton Fire Departments responded to the fire, which was reported Saturday at 10:50 p.m. (Gene Hetland, KSOO Radio, Sioux Falls, contributed to this report.)
