MANKATO - A search warrant filed in Blue Earth County Court Friday contains allegations that a Rock County Sheriff’s Deputy received nude photos of a teenage girl on his department issued cell phone and had sex with the teen.
The search warrant asked Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, for data from the cell phone of Deputy Kyle Kreun.
The search warrant application of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Special Agent Michael J. Anderson says the BCA was called in to investigate the alleged crime by a peace officer.
On Dec. 22, Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge met with Special Agent Derek Woodford regarding information the sheriff's office received alleging possible criminal violation by a Rock County deputy.
Kreun is currently on paid administrative leave while the BCA continues its investigation.
